Athlete prepares the Cloud identity
The athlete creates or signs into the identity the coach will invite. A parent or sponsor can help with preparation.

The coach uses the athlete's registered email to create the intended roster relationship.

Athlete accepts and joins the roster
Acceptance is the consent step. While the relationship and coach access remain active, all sessions and shots uploaded under the athlete's Cloud identity are available to the authorized coach.

Using ShotTracker with the connected ClayTracker Pro app captures and automatically uploads the practice session under the athlete's signed-in Cloud identity.

The coach opens the athlete's sessions and shots, selects relevant attempts, and prepares a focused discussion. The athlete can review their own practice history so they arrive ready to participate.
Team requirements
What your team needs to get started.
The exact setup depends on roster size and how your team runs practice, but every team workflow starts with these pieces.
Active team subscription and roster
The team needs an active subscription tied to its roster, with enough Standard-access slots for athletes who do not already have their own paid Standard subscription.
Cloud accounts and configured roles
The coach and each athlete need their own Cloud accounts. The roster needs the appropriate owner or editor, Coach, and Athlete roles so the right people can manage and review it.
The right athlete access
Every athlete needs at least a Free account, which provides access to recent history. Standard access—purchased individually or assigned through the team—provides full available history and SmartShot® Coach for supported shots.
Accepted roster invitations
Each athlete must accept the roster invitation. Acceptance establishes consent and lets authorized coaches review all sessions and shots uploaded under that identity while the relationship and required access remain active.
A connected capture setup
The team needs one or more available ShotTrackers, the ClayTracker Pro mobile app on a compatible device, and internet access when signing in and uploading. The number of ShotTrackers depends on how the team runs practice.

How does this help when a coach cannot watch every attempt?
After practice, an authorized coach can open available athlete sessions, revisit relevant attempts, and prepare a more focused individual conversation.
Does an athlete need to share individual sessions with the coach?
No. Accepting the roster invitation establishes the team relationship. While that relationship and the required coach access remain active, the authorized coach can review all sessions and shots uploaded under the athlete's Cloud identity. The athlete still owns that practice history.
Does SmartShot® decide what the athlete or team should work on?
No. SmartShot provides shot-specific technique results. The athlete and coach add experience, intent, conditions, and context, then decide whether something is repeating and what deserves attention next.
How can a parent or sponsor help?
They can help the athlete prepare the intended Cloud account and connected setup, then support the athlete as they review their own uploaded sessions and shots, understand the coaching focus, and prepare for the next practice. Coach and roster access remain separate team permissions.
